Cyber-incidents come in all shapes and sizes, but the organisational cost in terms of business disruption, financial loss and reputation can be profound. The first few hours after a ransomware attack, account takeover or deepfake impersonation (to name but a few threats), can make the difference between a well contained episode and months of management distraction and disruption.
In the ‘heat of the moment’ early mistakes can make the situation much worse. Very often management thinks that the response should be largely technical, whereas the human response from finance and other teams can be the most crucial. Preparation and practice is key.
In this 30-minute webinar session, Anna Sznerch, an expert in the human aspects of cyber security and Gary Simon, Chief Executive of FSN, explore how to manage the human response in a cyber-crisis, such as issues around maintaining stakeholder confidence and what finance functions can do to prepare all year round.
Anna Sznerch, is a Co-Founder of Cytala, where she advises Private Equity and Venture Capital firms on cyber talent and how to maximise their cyber resilience through effective leadership. Prior to Cytala, Anna was a Director at ISTARI Global, a cyber platform with a specific focus on cyber resilience and cyber strategy & transformation. Anna previously worked in PwC where she was the global lead for the design, build and launch of an upskilling platform that served cyber practitioners across over 60 countries. Furthermore, Anna was the mentorship lead for women in cyber, privacy and forensics across PwC US. Prior to joining PwC Anna was an officer in the Royal Air Force.
